Video game developer Epic Games is bringing a massive collaboration with 23 football teams from across the globe to Fortnite, allowing fans to play the game wearing the kits of clubs from across the globe and to “emote” using Pele’s iconic goal celebration.
Football rivalry already has its place on the pitch, but now it’s been given a new stage, with Fortnite becoming the latest battle ground in the war for supremacy as 23 clubs across five continents, including Manchester City, Juventus and AC Milan, are entering into partnership with Fortnite to bring the first-ever official football kit inspired skins to the game.
“Global football is consistently one of the top sports that our players tell us they want to see and experience in Fortnite,” said Nate Nanzer, Head of Global Partnerships at Epic Games. “We’re excited to partner with some of the world’s largest football clubs and icons like Pelé to bring ‘the beautiful game’ to Fortnite fans around the world as they face off in competitive tournaments, experience new creative modes of gameplay, and celebrate global football.”

In addition to the new emote, Fortnite players will have the opportunity to represent their favorite clubs with new “Kickoff Set” Outfits, play in Club-sponsored tournaments for the opportunity to win special prizes, and visit the Creative Hub for an immersive football experience.
